Hi, welcome to my online nickelodeon! This page is where I will place my Modern Actualities. These are the places and events I was able to capture and digitize for you to enjoy! There will eventually be many actualities to see, right here on this page! Best of all, my actualities are simple gifs. No video player required!

My gif images were created by hand from the original super8 reversals using the following process: First, I played videos scanned from the original materials in vlc. As they played, I took continuous snapshots! Then, I assembled the snapshots in abobe image ready. After some editing, I exported them as fully functioning gif images! Easy as that! No filters or automatic gif creation needed!

By the way, as you read this text, my gifs are loading! You should allow this page to load completely before clicking on a listed actuality. That way, things will run more smoothly for you.

My actualities can also be viewed as on-screen projections in their original format. Film reels available for exhibition are un-edited, unlike these gifs. An original experience! If you would like to arrange a screening, please e-mail the contact@lennonbatchelor.com address.
